I've chosen this David's topic because I think it's very interesting. To tell the truth, I haven't asked myself questions like that before English classes.
Well, I think, there a lot a things that I don't want to see at the room 101. It could be things like some monsters, death of my close friends or relatives and others. But the most frightening things for me are snakes. Snakes... Such a nasty things that I absolutely can't stand.
This fear acquired a lot of years ago, when I was a child. Once silly little me was walking throw one field absolutely alone. When there were just a few thousand metres till my goal - one old oak. Suddenly I saw something black-colored and long on the ground that was going right to me. I was so scared that I wasn't able even to scream. I stunned for about ten seconds and after that I run as fast as I can. I don't noticed how fast I reached my goal, but it seemed very quick for me. I've never been so frightened before this event, and till now I haven't felt such a strong fear.
After that I knew that it was impoisoned snake and that it was absolutely harmless. But till now snakes are my the darkest fear, I can't stand and hate them.
When I had to write about what would be in my Room 101 for a high school writing assignment, I wrote about the dentist, but I actually am fairly afraid of snakes, too. I think part of the reason is that I usually don't see them at first and then I notice them so suddenly, when they're already quite close to me. I've heard that it's also instinctive to dislike snakes -- monkeys don't like snakes either!
