There is a
question: Is my English become better after studying it at NES for last two
years.
Of course yes! During this time I surely improved my English level and
learned a lot.
This course of English
completely differs from the one I had in my school. In my school lessons were
so boring, it was very uninteresting for me to attend this classes. Mostly in
those lessons we were just learning new words, English rules and reading
dull texts. The same thing from one class to another. Absolutely no
diversity. Therefore sometimes I hated
English, in spite of the fact that I need English in my future.
Fortunately, English course in NES have changed
my opinion. My interest returned. Why this happened? I think because of uniqueness of the style
of these classes. I can feel progress. The lessons differ one from the other,
there is almost no monotony. I feel that I improved my writing skills. Essays of
different types and for different themes that I have written give confidence to
me. My vocabulary became better. To tell
the truth, it’s still hard for me to answer in English whereas I can
understand almost everything I heard. But after two months I can see some
promotion. What I really like in this courses is that I feel my progress and
improvements. I understand that I’m studying the things I will surely be needed in
my future.
Another plus of our
course is our teacher. When I firstly heard about the fact that our tutor is native American there was two feelings inside of me.
The first feeling was the gladness because I thought it would be great
experience to study English with American professor. The second feeling was the
scare, as I was afraid of my English level. But David dispelled my doubts. I
can almost always understand him, and as I have been convinced after the Happy
Hours, it’s quite easy for me to communicate with him in spite of some
difficulties.
Well, what about my future
plans for the second half of the semester? After our consulting week I will try
to attend Writing and Communicating Center. I had no time last two months and I
regret that I haven’t attended it before. But in the future I will consider it like
compulsory course, make a schedule and try not to miss any lesson.
I like my English course. I
like the style of David’s teaching. My progress gives me confidence that in the
future my English will be fluent.
I'm glad you are having a good experience in the course. I'm also very pleased to hear that you're going to make use of the Writing and Communication Center!
