It’s a lot of problems (wars, death,
different diseases, religious conflicts, nuclear weapon and many others) today
in the world and it would be great to get rid of most of them. However, if I
had such a possibility, my choice would be very uncommon. Instead of getting
rid of all of these global problems I just would like humanity to totally
forget about sleeping. I think, you would ask: “Why?! Why do we need it?” and most
of people, in my opinion, won’t understand me. Well, the answer is quite easy.
Just imagine that we would have not eighteen or even less, but twenty four
hours per day! I think, it would be enough time to do all of our work and to
have enough rest. We wouldn’t see sleepy faces everywhere in the morning! There
wouldn’t be nodding people in the subway, on the trains! Everyone would be
peppy and cheerful and we would forget about most quarrels in the morning! We wouldn’t have any struggle with
sleep every morning! Half of the delays for work or for lessons would be in the
past! The Russian saying: “There are no good mornings…” wouldn’t be actual anymore!
Yawning people wouldn’t provoke flesh mob around them, moreover, there wouldn’t
be any yawning people! We would greet the sun with smile, not with grumpy
faces!
Of
course, you may say that the life would be absolutely different then and all
the pros may just disappear. For example, if we had twenty four hours per day,
the amount of work that should be done would be much more and there’s no point
in it. Yeah, that’s right. But, in my opinion, all the pros of this idea
overweight al the cons.
The idea seems nice to me because you've assumed there will be no more yawning people. Yawning is a real problem in my opinion. I always yawn when someone yawns near me, and then there goes a chain reaction! Sometimes it looks a bit dumb, I think.
ОтветитьУдалитьUnfortunately, there is one disadvantage of having no sleep. We wouldn't have this pretty feeling when you feel sleepy and go to bed.
