The answer
to that question depends on what you mean saying school. I’ve visited HSE (Higher
School of Economics) just today and NES (New Economics School) on
Wednesday. Well, I guess you meant school in more ordinary meaning.
My last
visit to my school was this fall. As you know, I’m not from Moscow. My hometown
is Nizhnekamsk. Therefore, I have no possibility to visit it more often. For
example, unfortunately, I’ve missed graduator’s meeting that was in the February
4th. It’s real pity.
What I felt
when I entered the building of my school? It’s quite hard to explain. It was
inexpressible feeling. I’ve remembered the things that were happening to me
while my studying there. I’ve remembered good and not so good stories, my
teachers and my friends. I’ve seen the familiar faces, familiar classes even
the smell from the canteen was familiar! I felt nostalgia.
Meeting
with teachers and presentation to audience were the things that I liked most. I’ve
spend a lot of time speaking with my teachers. We discussed and remembered a
lot of things. One of them remained me what a lazy pupil I was, it really cheered
me up! While others told that I was studying hard, only he told what really
was, and I’m thankful to him. : )
The second
thing I liked most was presentation to audience of pupils of 7-11th
grades. I’ve told them about student’s everyday life, about studying at NES and
at HSE, about the Moscow. It seemed that they really liked it and I hope the
information I told was interesting and useful for them, because many of them
would like to study in Moscow and in HSE in particular. The presentation skills
that I gain in the English classes really helped me!
I’m going to
visit my school next spring, so I look forward
to see it again.
It is so great that you used the experience that you had gained at NES. Who knows, maybe your speech influenced pupils and you will meet them in our two schools ( HSE and NES) the next year:)
