The „Schrödinger“ day.
The last Thursday I had a „Schrödinger“ day. Yeah-yeah, you haven’t misread. Why? Because it was a good and bad day at the same time.
The morning was awful. To tell the truth, that wasn’t morning when I had woken up, but I didn’t know this. The voice in the speaker have woken me. The first thought in my mind was „What do they announce at 7 o’clock in the morning?!“ After that rubbing my sleepy eyes I took my mobile phone. In next twenty seconds I spent looking at the screen and trying to understand what is wrong with the time. IT WAS HALF PAST ELEVEN! I was shoked. I set the alarm-clock but I forgot to turn them on. It was horror on my face. I understood that I’ve missed three classes. After that I spent half an hour thinking what to do next. It was no sense in going to university because it was too late already. I decided to send an E-Mail to David and explain him the situation. After that I wanted to do my endless homework for another days in advanced. The mood was spoiled.
I thought that the day won’t go well, but the day began to improve. Firstly, David answered me that I wouldn’t lost a lot of points if I would come with the 5th group at the next day. After that I have understood that I slept myself out. It was wonderful feeling. I’ve done almost all my homework for next week. And the last, but not the least thing that cheered me up was the gotten tickets for the Awards Ceremony of Egor Gaidar. Everything was excellent and I thought that nothing can go wrong, but I was wrong.
Roman and me arrived to the ceremony in good mood. We were met with smiles on the faces of greeters. They said that it was smorgasbord on the second floor. We’ve understood that we do not came in vain as we were hungry. Then unexpected happened. We’ve met my economics lecturer Konstantin Sonin. He was the man I certanly didn’t want to see today because I’ve missed his classes that day. I tried to hide from him, but it was quite difficult for me because of my height. I greeted him. After a few phrases he asked the question that I didn’t wanted to hear at all. He asked were I had been during the economics classes. I tried to explain him what had happened, but it seemed that he didn’t believe these words.I had terrible mood but not for long. Everything become better in next half an hour – the ceremony started. It was very interesting to watch it. I really enjoyed this process.
It was very amazing day full of events. I enjoyed this day, in spite of the not so good incidents.
It is an excellent post, Ildar. You should save this post in order to use it for your future narrative assignements because you made a great story about your day!
ОтветитьУдалить"After that rubbing my sleepy eyes ... IT WAS HALF PAST ELEVEN! I was shoked." This sentence seems familiar to me. I also had such a terrible expirience at NES. After dreadful exam at Wednesday and a whole night of preparing for it I came home and fell asleep at about 8 o'clock in the evening. After I slept myself out I woke up at 10 o' clock and realised that I will be late for my maths class. At first, I was afraid of not going on maths, but then I realized that I can read everything in the book. Notwithstanding impermissible behaviour, we both remembered those crazy days with a smile on the face!
I haven't watched the BBT, but I caught an allusion)
ОтветитьУдалитьI completely understand what feelings did you experience that awful morning! I just woke up an hour late... and missed my biology class! And you already know about the sad consequences of it (I mean about my points for attendance).
I hope you learnt a lot of new interesting things on the ceremony! And I also hope that KS wasn't too angry with you)
