The Last Writing Assignment In This Semester

               The last writing assignment was the most difficult homework we had in English classes. The first difference is of course the argumentation. It was very difficult to find exactly what you need in sites in English and it took about 6 or 7 hours. However, I do not regret of it because it was very useful – in future, I think, it would be necessary for us to do such researches. The second big difference was the strict structure of the essay – we had to use MLA format in it. In Russia we have similar requirements. To tell the truth, I don’t understand why we have to use it. In my opinion, it is just waste of time. The third big difference is the spent time.  I’ve spend great amount of time writing it (over 20 hours if I’m not mistaken). Still, I don’t very like my essay. In my opinion, essay has a lot of weaknesses. The first thing I don’t like is its structure. Although I work on it over 20 hours and discussed with the consultant in Writing and Communicating Center, the organization seems too simple and too uninteresting. Also I don’t like the word choice – I think it would be many words that wouldn’t be appropriate because I used them the first time.  Well, it had a few strengths. I really liked my attention getter and my first two paragraphs. The ideas in others, in my opinion, are not clearly explained.

                This writing assignment was the most difficult but the most interesting one at the same time. It is great relief that it had almost passed, but I do not mind to write one more essay just like this one.
