What made you choose your course of study? Why NES? What do you hope to do with your degree?

Good day everyone!
My today's blog is quite unusual. At the previous semester we were writing mostly on free themes. Even if we had defined theme, we had more freedom while writing it. Unusually, today's blog is mostly answer to the given questions. So let’s start.
Why have I chosen my current courses? The main thing was that I wanted to get one difficult and one relatively easy course. That’s why I got the most difficult of all courses “Theoretical bases of informatics” with “History of Art”. Yes, I got only two elective courses, not three like some other students. It’s because my English is not very good. If it wasn’t so, then I would be able to choose the third course. But to tell the truth, I think I’ve just taken another English course instead of English- 202 course.

Why NES? It’s a quite interesting question. I absolutely haven’t known anything about NES till the end of April of the previous year. I’ve firstly heard about it during the Economics competition. I’ve won the prize at that competition. That prize gave me chance to study at any Economics university in Russia that I like without passing any exam. After that my Economics teacher told about NES. And the choice became obvious, because I’ve heard a lot of interesting things. So I’ve chosen NES and I hope I won’t regret of my choice after four years of studying (but nowadays sometimes some deadlines make me go in crazy :( ).

My future job is not very clear for me. The only thing I know is that I’ll try to find the job that I’ll like and that would be related to Economics. I hope that I’ll make my choice in four years of my studying.

  1. Don't say your English isn't good! It is good, and it's has been improving. I'd estimate that about three-fourths of the students who took English 201 are required to take English 202. It doesn't mean your English isn't good!

  2. It's not pessimistic feelings, David. I just understand that I should work on my English.
